Kosta Browne Winery

For almost 15 years Kosta Browne has crafted intensely flavored and balanced wines from the finest regions in California, including the Russian River Valley, Sonoma Coast and Santa Lucia Highlands appellations. Founders Dan Kosta, Michael Browne and Chris Costello's dedication to quality, stewardship and commitment to customer relationships has propelled the brand to industry leader, producing some of the most sought after new world Pinot Noirs.

Guayaki Yerba Mate

Wind Gap Wines

Wind Gap does not concentrate on making the "perfect" wine. They concentrate on making honest, authentic and compelling wine from special vineyard sites.  Many of their vineyards are planted along, or are directly influenced by one wind gap or another. These geological breaks in the coastal hills funnel inland and strongly influence the growing and ripening of Wind Gap grapes. In celebration of the forces of nature that shape the wine, came along Wind Gap. Combing the state to gather a collection of some of the most exciting vineyards, Wind Gap has Produced Cabernet, Chardonnay, Syrah and Grenach from South Napa, Paso Robles and the windy Sonoma Coast.

Community Market, an incorporated non-profit, was founded in 1975 as worker collective for several Sonoma County businesses. The idea was to create a democratic workplace that put food for people before profits. Spirit Works Distillery

Spirit Works Distillery is an artisan microdistillery that handcrafts gin and whiskey in the “grain to glass” tradition. Each batch starts with organic California-grown grain that is milled, mashed, fermented, distilled, and finally bottled—entirely on-site at the distillery. The first gins will be on the shelf around January 2013, when visitors can tour the distillery, sample the products, and experience the magic of making spirits.

Wolfard Glassblowing

Wolfard Glassblowing enjoys a reputation of quality designs with quality service. The trademarked oil lamps and candles are all handblown from borosilicate glass, adding durability to the classic designs. Skilled glassblowers craft each object using Wolfard's exclusive "in-flame" technique at higher-than-usual temperatures. This presents an additional challenge for the glassblower who must have exceptional skills at his craft. No two lamps are exactly alike, due to variations in this art form.

Village Bakery

Village Bakery has proved itself to be a favorite in Sonoma County for several years, offering the best danishes and pastries baked fresh daily. Enjoy Organic coffee paired with fresh fruit pies made from local ingredients, luscious cakes, tarts, cookies, Organic danishes and a variety of excellent artisan breads. Also open for lunch, Village Bakery prepares fresh to order sandwiches that Sonoma County residents and visitors can't get enough of. 

Warped Brewing Company

Warped Brewing Company will produce craft ales in a custom 10 barrel brewhouse. Noah and Miriam, owners of locals' favorite Barley and Hops Tavern in nearby Occidental, will be brewing beer and operating a tasting room. Customers will be able to bring outside food and enjoy a pint, sample the taps, or take home a growler.

MacPhail Family Wines

James MacPhail shares his passion for Pinot Noir by focusing on vineyard designated, limited release wines from California’s finest growing regions, a roster that currently includes the Sonoma Coast, Russian River Valley, Green Valley, Anderson Valley, Sta. Rita Hills, along with the Eola-Amity Hills (Oregon).  Sequana by James MacPhail offers appellation focused blends from the Santa Lucia Highlands and the Russian River Valley. Small lots of Chardonnay from the Sonoma Coast are also produced. Part of a historic family with roots in agriculture in West Marin and along the Sonoma Coast, MacPhail wines are very much a reflection of his deep roots in the North Coast.

Lynn's Lavender

Lynn’s Lavender began in 2002 when Lynn Rossman purchased Tanuda Ridge Vineyard for the purpose of establishing a lavender and herb farm. Initially; Lynn’s Lavender provided bulk lavender to customers and retail shops. Since then, the company has expanded to provide lavender products for the home, closet, kitchen, travel, sewing, soothing, stationery and toiletries. With the move to The Barlow, Lynn’s Lavender is looking forward to meeting customers in person, developing new product lines, and most of all inhale the incredible aroma of a room full of lavender.

Marimar Estate Vineyards & Winery

Nestled in the rolling hills of western Sonoma County, Marimar Estate Vineyards & Winery specializes in limited-production Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, estate grown and estate bottled from organically farmed vineyards in the Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast. Built in 1992, the Catalan-style winery sits on a hill surrounded by vines. Founder and proprietor Marimar Torres is the 4th generation of a family dedicated to grape growing and winemaking in Spain since the 17th century. Born in Barcelona, she moved to California in 1975 and began planting  the Don Miguel Vineyard, named after her father, in 1986. A second vineyard was planted to Pinot Noir in 2002 and named after her mother, Doña Margarita.

Whole Spice, our family owned business, was formed in 2000 as a second generation company in the spice industry. Gypsy Bay Laurel, Inc. began supplying fresh, wild, locally picked California bay leaves to the organic markets in San Francisco in late 1999, evolving out of a family owned and run organic row crop farm in West County. "We began by picking fresh bay leaves in backyards and along the roads of Sonoma County... hence the name". In 2005 the company moved from the fresh herb market into drying the wild-crafted leaves in small batches, sorting by hand for quality and selling the final product wholesale. California Bay trees are native to the west coast of the continental United States and Gypsy Bay Laurel is dedicated to using sustainable harvest practices to produce a very special culinary herb with a full, spicy aroma and lovely emerald green color. In the future Gypsy Bay Laurel plans to develop dry herb rubs using their leaves in combination with other locally grown herbs for retail sale at their Barlow site.

Ben Kinmont Bookseller

Ben Kinmont Bookseller began in 1998 in New York City. We specialize in 15th to early 19th century books about food and wine, domestic and rural economy, health, perfume, and the history of taste. We attend all major gastronomy auction sales as well as participate annually in the antiquarian bookfairs in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, and Paris. We work regularly with librarians as well as private clients from around the world and are happy to receive your desiderata and help you with collection development. We also offer appraisal services of books, manuscripts, and archives for insurance coverage, charitable contribution, and estate purposes.

CeraLuna

CeraLuna's line of wearable artwork starts out as certified organic cotton. It is domestically custom milled into fabric tailored specifically for CeraLuna. It is soft, light and luscious, while authenticating a sustainable mindfulness. CeraLuna's exclusively unique batik method consists of a resist process using hot wax and dye. Watch as patterns are designed and garments are constructed. They are beautiful, comfortable and multifunctional; skirts transform into dresses, wrap jackets can be worn a multitude of ways. Side seams are also eliminated, creating a unique fit which follow the s-curve of the body, all while accentuating and minimizing key elements of the silhouette.

The Tibetan Gallery & Studio

The Tibetan Gallery & Studio is run by Tibetan master artist, Tashi Dhargyal

Visitors can view Tashi working on thangka (traditional Buddhist scroll paintings), and also join into his weekly classes.  Tashi is one of the few masters in the West working entirely in the traditional Tibetan method, which includes hand-prepared canvas, hand ground mineral pigments, and 24k gold.In the Fall of 2013, Tashi’s studio in the Barlow will become home to a very unique project, the first thanmochi painted outside of Tibet.  This will be a most auspicious endeavor for North America.  A thanmochi is a very large thangka that is shown at special prayer ceremonies and brings blessings to all who see it.  This massive undertaking will take almost four years, and when completed, the canvas will be two stories high. The studio welcomes requests from schools, sangha, and community for special presentations or events.
